Plans that get permitted and work in the field

A traffic control plan has two audiences: the agency reviewer who approves your permit, and the crew who has to set up the work zone at 6 a.m. We write for both.

Every plan is built on FDOT Standard Plans Index 102 and MUTCD Part 6. It is laid out for your actual site, with your lanes, driveways, intersections and work hours, not a generic typical copied from a book.

How we prepare traffic control plans

From request to plan

  1. Send us the project

Location, scope of work, schedule, work hours and the permitting agency. Attach site plans or permit comments if you have them.

  2. We review the site and the agency's rules

Road type, speed, lanes, sight distance and the reviewing agency's specific requirements.

  3. We prepare the plan

Device layouts, sign spacing, tapers, buffers and phasing, signed and sealed when the agency requires it.

  4. You submit it with your permit

If the reviewer comes back with comments, we revise the plan so you can get approved and get to work.

Common questions

Do you prepare traffic control plans anywhere in Florida?

Yes. We prepare temporary traffic control and MOT plans for projects in all 67 Florida counties, for FDOT, county and city right of way.

Are your plans signed and sealed?

Our plans are prepared with Florida licensed professional engineering. When the permitting agency requires a signed and sealed plan, we provide one.

What do you need to give me a quote?

The project location, a short description of the work, the expected schedule and work hours, and which agency is issuing the permit. Site plans or permit comments help if you have them.

Do you provide crews or traffic control equipment?

No. We prepare the plan. Your crew or traffic control subcontractor sets up and maintains the work zone according to it.

Have a permit to pull?

Send us the location and the scope of work, and we will get back to you with a quote.
